Baseball will play their last game against Temple College May 3rd at the
Chaparral Field at 1:00pm.
Rodeo is finished with the Spring season and awaits the College National Finals
Rodeo set for June 15-21, 2008 in Casper, Wyoming.
Softball will travel to McKinney to participate in the the Regional Tournament scheduled for
May 2nd and 3rd.
Volleyball is currently in spring training gearing up for the 2008-09 season.
The Vernon College volleyball season will start at home with a scrimmage on
August 19th versus Clarendon College.

Vernon College athletes
have established a tradition of winning both
in their sport and in the classroom. Vernon
College is a member of the National Junior
College Athletic Association, National
Intercollegiate Rodeo Association, and the
Northern Junior College Athletic
Conference. Approximately 85 scholarships
are awarded to outstanding athletes who
compete on Vernon College athletic teams.
The Vernon College sports facilities, which
are located on the Vernon campus, are second
to none.
Vernon College competes against two and four
year institutions from Texas and throughout
the nation. Rodeo competes in the Southwest
Region (one of eleven geographical regions
in the United States). Baseball, Softball,
and Volleyball compete in Region V of the
Northern Junior College Athletic Conference. |
