Welcome, I am happy to have you visit my Web Page. You will find

in Computer and Information Sciences.

I began my career with Vernon College in 1986 as the Computer Lab Technician in

the Microcomputer Applications area.  Two years later the Office

Technology and Computer Aided Graphics Lab became my responsibility also.

I began teaching MCOT courses at night as an adjunct instructor in 1993    

and continued my full-time job as the Computer Lab Technician.  In 1994

I took charge of the Microcomputer Applications Program as a full-time

instructor. In the fall of 2000 the name of this program changed to Computer

and Information Sciences.

Some of the courses I teach are Introduction to Internet/Web Page Design, Programming

Languages, Spreadsheet, Database, Word Processing, A+ Certification, Introduction to

Networking, and on-line classes through the use of the internet. I also teach classes

for the Office Technology Program.



Through Vernon College's Testing Center students can take the Certificion Tests for A+,

Microsoft Users Certification (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point), Networking, etc.

I was born in Vernon and have lived here my entire life.  My children grew

up and went to school and college here.  Vernon is a wonderful place to live

and raise a family.  My husband and I attend the Church of God where we have

been active in various offices over the years.

Repairing electrical items is something I enjoy doing when I have time.  I

love to camp, hike, and just sit under the trees and listen to the wind blow

through the leaves or watch the waves on the lake.  I'm a real back-to-nature

person.



My husband, Charles, and I own a farm in Doan's Community where we raise and sell

cattle. I guess you could call it a cattle farm.  The land has rolling

hills, natural springs, and lots of trees.  It's a beautiful place to spend

my extra time.
