Texas Guaranteed Student Loans "Adventures in Education" Selective Service Registration Male U.S. citizens and male immigrant aliens 18-25 must be registered with the U.S. Selective Service System to be eligible for federal student loans and grants. Register at any post office or register on-line. http://www.collegefortexans.com/residency/TASFA.pdf This application is for students who are ineligible to complete the FAFSA, but are classified as a Texas resident and therefore eligible to pay the Texas in-state tuition rate. By meeting this residency requirement, such students are eligible to apply for some state student financial aid programs.
