Southwestern Bell Foundation GED Scholarships for $500 each are available at Vernon College.The deadline for applications is April 15.
Scholarship applications are available online or from the Vernon College Financial Aid Office.
Requirements for the scholarships are:
- must have a General Education Development (GED) certificate
- must be used Fall and Spring semesters at VC
- must be enrolled FULL-TIME in COLLEGE-LEVEL CREDIT CLASSES (non-remedial) at VC each semester to receive this scholarship
- first preference given to students in technology, math, or science programs
- must complete a VC scholarship application and return to VC Financial Aid Office by April 15. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- must have a GED score equivalent to a B average or 3.0 GPA
The recipients will be selected by the VC Scholarship Committee after the April 15 deadline. Recipients will be notified by mail. An acceptance form must be returned to the VC Financial Aid Office to validate the scholarship.
