Author searches allow you to find materials by means of a name. Names include persons, organizations
("United States Congress"), and meetings ("Strategic Arms Limitation Talks"). Author searches find persons
or groups having some form of responsibility for the creation of a work. Examples of relationships between
a name and a work include author, editor, translator, narrator, and composer.

Search Tip: If you are looking for materials about a person, organization or meeting, use a
subject search.

If you know the author's last name, click on Browse the Catalog, select "Authors" in the "Browse"
listbox, type in your term(s), and click on "Search". You must enter the last name first.
An alphabetical listing of names in the catalog is displayed, beginning with the name most closely
matching your search term:

If you don't know the author's last name, click on Search the Catalog, select "Authors" in the "Find"
listbox, choose the search option "contain", type in your term(s), and click on "Search". If more than one
term is entered, all terms must be part of the same name, but the order of the terms is irrelevant. Only
those headings with data matching every term you enter will be retrieved.
The standardized form of this name can be seen among the results:
