Community Patrons
A library card is available to area residents seventeen (17) years and older. A ten ($10) dollar security deposit is required upon application for a library card. Upon receiving a library card, the patron agrees to follow the same policies and procedures that apply to Vernon College students. A library handbook is available upon request in any Vernon College library or resource room.A library card and photo id may be requested at any time by a member of the Vernon College library staff. Failure to produce these items may result in dismissal of the patron.
Student patrons will have first priority of use of the library facilities and resources.
The library card expires in three (3) years. The cardholder must initiate renewal within ninety (90) days of expiration. Library privileges are revoked and the deposit forfeited if not renewed.
The member may request the deposit to be refunded at any time from the library staff. The refund will be processed through the Vernon College Business Office and mailed in two to three weeks.
Complimentary Patrons
Faculty members of area schools and educational institutions are granted special Wright Library privileges for themselves and their class members ages 15-17 years old.No membership fees will be charged for these persons. However, all library policies and fines apply equally to these library patrons.
High school students using the computer and INTERNET are restricted to academic purposes and must strictly adhere to the Responsible Use Policy Statement of Vernon College.
