Bobby Scott

Bobby Scott assumed coaching responsibilities at Vernon College in January 1998. Scott previously headed the rodeo program at Frank Phillips College in Borger for eight years and at Howard College in Big Spring for four years.

Scott led several teams to the College National Finals Rodeo. In 1990, his women's team from Howard College was the Reserve National Champion women's team. He also had the 1990 Women's National Champion Breakaway Roper and the CNFR Champion Bull-Rider.

Since Scott came to Vernon College, his teams have had the following major accomplishments:

Scott had the following to say about his hopes for the VC rodeo team:
"I hope I can continue to recruit good quality people who have the desire to win. I just want to stay out of their way and provide the things necessary to help them succeed."

Coach Scott graduated from Tarleton State University. He has been rodeoing since he was a sophomore in high school. He is a PRCA steer wrestler. For the past 14 years has been a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association judge.
