The Business Management Program has both an Associate of Applied Science Degree and a Certificate of Completion. The primary objective is to prepare an individual to enter the workforce or to improve the skills of the currently employed individual. However, through articulation agreements, most of the hours earned in Vernon College's Associate of Applied Science Degree will transfer into MSU's Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science Degree or into Wayland Baptist University's Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education Degree.

The purpose of the Business Management Degree is to prepare students to become skilled and effective managers in business areas such as sales, marketing, personnel management, banking and finance.

Students in this program will enroll in courses designed to acquaint them with accepted business practices as well as with important skills necessary for managing employees. Additional courses will ensure that they also gain the necessary verbal and written communication skills they will need to work successfully in today's ever-changing business environment.

The college works closely with the local business community through our Business Management Advisory Committee. These employers keep us informed concerning their needs for business management personnel.
