Coach Blair graduated from Clinch Valley College of the University of Virginia in May '87 with a degree in History. He was a member of the Alpha Delta Chi Fraternity.

Coach Blair and his wife Gina have two daughters Marcy Harvey and Madison Blair. Marcy is currently a junior at TCU and Madison attends Shive Elementary and is in the fifth grade. 

Coach Blair was born in Tulsa, Ok. He lived in Germany, Texas, and Virginia. His parents, John and Ruby Blair, reside in Lawton, Oklahoma. Coach Blair is the youngest of 4 children. He has a brother and 2 sisters.
