Coach Blair graduated from Clinch Valley College of the University of Virginia in May '87 with a degree in History. He was a member of the Alpha Delta Chi Fraternity.

Coach Blair and his wife Gina have two daughters Marcy Harvey and Madison Blair. Marcy is currently a freshman at TCU and Madison attends third grade at Central Elementary. 

Coach Blair was born in Tulsa, Ok. He lived in Germany, Texas, and Virginia. His parents, John and Ruby Blair, reside in Lawton, Oklahoma. Coach Blair is the youngest of 4 children. He has a brother and 2 sisters.
