Background
I graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1971. I ranked 3rd in my class of 26 students. I attended Texas A & M University in 71-72. I was one of the first students to enroll in Vernon College in fall of 72. I returned to college in spring of 99 taking Internet courses and majoring in Computer Aided Drafting and Design. I finished my AAS degree and graduated in May of 2000. I started my job with Vernon College in August of 99 in the computer lab and in Jan 2001 became the Technical Services Specialist. In the summer of 2004 I was moved to the IT department and my job title was change to Computer Specialist. I am certified as A+ ,Microsoft Office Users Specialist (MOUS), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Academic Instructor (CCAI), and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP). I am the system administrator for Blackboard, which is for online courses.

Biographical Information
I was born in Vernon, Texas and spent most of my entire life in this area. We moved to Farmers Valley in 1964 and I started attending school in Chillicothe. I attended Texas A&M University and Vernon College before marrying Gloria Phillips in June of 73. At that time we moved to Chillicothe where we have lived ever since. I worked as Parts Manager, and then mechanic for Krebs Motor Co. from 72-76. I then worked for Hardeman Grain in Chillicothe for one year before returning to mechanic work for Gordon Tidmore Chevrolet. Several years later I again went back to Krebs Motor Co. and stayed there until 1980. I went back to Hardeman Grain and worked there until June of 99. Since August of 99 I have been employed by Vernon College.
We have 3 children, Greg, Jason and Jill. Greg is married to Jamie and they have two daughters, Alexis and Johnae. Greg has degree in Auto Mechanics and is employed by David Brown Sports Center in Amarillo. Jamie is the office manager for a Law firm. Jason married Amy Culwell in Jan, 01, he is certified Fireman and EMT, and is currently working in Chillicothe. Amy is a beautician and runs her own beauty shop. Jill married Lance James in December of 07. She is currently working on her Masters Degree at UNT and also she is a Teaching Aid. Lance is currently in the Army Reserves and is on active duty in Iraq.

Activities, Etc.
Gloria refers to me as a professional hobbyist. I have
been involved in a Country Band, remote control airplanes, calligraphy,
hunting, computers, 4 wheelers, recumbent bicycles and trikes, and riding my
Honda Goldwing.
