It's time to reconfigure your Outlook Express email to reflect our new name: vernoncollege.edu.There are 7 easy steps and most of you will complete them without any assistance from Information Technology. An illustration follows the instructions for each of the first 5 steps.
If you have problems, contact Information Technology at ext. 2300.
Before you begin, you should either print these instructions or open a second browser window. Use one window to view the instructions and the second window to make your configuration changes.
Step 1
First, we must go to the area of Outlook Express that allows you to change your personnel preferences and account settings. With Outlook Express open do the following:
- Click on Tools.

Step 2
- Click on accounts.

Step 3
- Double Click your mail account

Step 4
Now we will tell Outlook Express that your email and mail server are vernoncollege.edu. Don't worry. You will still get mail from vrjc.cc.tx.us as well.
- Click the General Tab (it is selected by default)
- Change server from mail.vrjc.cc.tx.us to mail.vernoncollege.edu
- Change email name from cslosser@vrjc.cc.tx.us to cslosser@vernoncollege.edu
Use your email user name( first initial and last name for most people)

Step 5
Next we specify the incoming and outgoing mail server names.
- Click the Servers Tab
- Change incoming server from mail.vrjc.cc.tx.us to mail.vernoncollege.edu
- Change outgoing server from mail.vrjc.cc.tx.us to mail.vernoncollege.edu
- Click OK

Step 6
- Click Close

Step 7
That's all there is to it!Now you need a test. Click here to send the webmaster a test email message. Ask the webmaster to reply to the email if they receive it.
