The CCSSE (Community College Survey of Student Engagement) published by the Community College Leadership Program at the University of Texas is administered to Vernon College students during the spring semester.  Key findings for the Support for Learners portion of the survey indicate that students who report Vernon College “some” “quite a bit” or “very much” provide the support they need at this college was 92%. Fifty-seven percent of students report that the College helps them cope with nonacademic responsibilities, and 69% of students report the College provides the support they need to thrive socially. Vernon College Student Services will improve these survey results with online Employment Opportunity Centers and increased comprehensive college-wide student activities programs.
