All students new to Vernon College must attend a New Student Orientation (NSO) session before they can see an advisor. Dates and times of sessions are available on the NSO page. After attending an NSO session a student can determine which advisor to see from the following 3 categories:

• Vernon College Counselors are required to see all students who are NOT TSI Clear each semester before the student registers for classes. Students may call the Vernon College Counseling Offices at the numbers listed below to set an appointment.
• Students who are working on a certificate program in one of our workforce fields may see the technical advisor in that field.
• Student who are TSI Clear may see a Course Schedule Advisor (CSA) at the CSA Center at the Century City or Vernon Campus. Check the back of the class schedule for dates and times that the CSA Centers are open.
