Can you believe the end of the semester is just days away? As the semester winds to a close, there are a few things you should be aware of. As required by federal regulations, all students must make satisfactory academic progress (SAP). SAP will be evaluated at the end of each long semester. That means for the fall semester we will complete this review during the week of December 16. There are three standards for SAP: qualitative, quantitative and maximum time frame.
Qualitative - Financial aid cumulative GPA
Quantitative - Cumulative successful pace of completion
Maximum Time Frame - Maximum time allowed for program completion
SAP Status Descriptions
Satisfactory - All requirements met, no limits to financial aid
Warning - Requirements not met, no limits to financial aid, but at risk of losing eligibility
Suspension- Financial aid eligibility lost
Notification of a student's SAP status is posted on his or her Campus Connect account in My VC. If you are currently on suspension, it is your responsibility to notify the financial aid office if you believe you have regained your eligibility. Good luck on your finals!
