Fall 2022 Academic Calendar

Our first cohort of Court Reporting began in January 2021.  This program is designed to prepare students to sit for the Texas Court Reporters state test. Court reporters are part of a prestigious and professional business environment. Court reporters can quickly turn spoken words into readable, searchable, permanent text, and they will continue to be needed. There are many job opportunities this certification can provide employment for:

  • Courtroom Court Reporter

  • Freelance reporter

  • Broadcast captioners

  • Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) providers

This program consists of 6 modules. Each module will be 11 weeks long. To complete all modules will take a minimum of 18 months. Students must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or high school equivalency.

When can you get started? The next full program is expected to start in January 2023. The schedule should be released in Fall 2022. Be looking for information in late Spring, Summer &/or Fall 2022 for an A to Z hands-on overview course for more information about the program and career.
