Instructional Testing Center Information

The Instructional Testing Center will provide proctored testing for Vernon College students that are taking distance learning or hybrid classes.

For Students:

Instructional testing is for students who have been assigned a test by the instructor of your internet or hybrid class. Instructional testing may able be used for make-up exams. There is no charge for instructional testing for Vernon College courses. In order to test, you must bring a photo ID (Driver’s License, Military ID, School ID, Passport, etc.) You will also need to bring any materials that your instructor lets you use (calculator, book, notes, etc.) If your test is on the computer, make sure you bring your log in to the website your class utilizes (Canvas, mymathlab, etc.) If your test requires a scantron, you may bring your own or you may purchase them for 25 cents. Allow yourself plenty of time to test. If you do not have enough time to complete the exam, you may not be allowed to start. Anyone besides testers will have to wait in our waiting area. Children will not be allowed unattended. Due to current restrictions, please contact the Testing Center at 940-552-6291 ext. 2317 (Vernon) or 940-689-3778 (Wichita Falls) or email itctesting@vernoncollege.edu and make an appointment for your test. The instructor has to provide an Instructional Testing Center transmittal form to the Testing Center directly.

The Wichita Falls Instructional Testing Center is located just inside the front door of the main (northwest) entrance of the Century City location. The Vernon Campus Instructional Testing Center is located in the Wright Library building. The entrance is an exterior door on the side between the Osborne Administration building and the Wright Library. It is marked "testing."

For Instructors:

Transmital Form

The transmittal form above must be filled out completely by an instructor and emailed or hand delivered to the Testing Center before a student can test. We ask that all instructors please make note of the Instructional Testing Center hours listed above. If you have any questions about the transmittal form, please contact Tracy Catlin at tcatlin@vernoncollege.edu or SheaLeigh Arledge at sarledge@vernoncollege.edu. We appreciate your help. We offer instructional tests for so many classes that this form helps us assure integrity and consistency in the testing process.
